Humans Vs. Zombies
Humans vs. Zombies (aka. HvZ) is a live-action game enacted across the entirety of Agnes Scott's campus. HvZ is played on college campuses across the entire United States. Scotties begin the game as humans and try to survive the zombie invasion. The goal of the game is for all humans to be turned into zombies, or for humans to survive for a pre-determined set of time. Humans defend themselves from the invasion of zombies by using items approved by the game maker, which are deemed safe -- the most common defensive equipment are balled-up socks.
History
Humans vs. Zombies was invented by Goucher College students Brad Sappington and Chris Weed in 2005, and the zombie invasions began spreading to other colleges across the US.
HvZ was initially played with Nerf Guns; however, in 2007, after multiple gun scares at colleges worldwide, Nef Guns are no longer commonly used and have been replaced with socks. Due to this multiple colleges have banned HvZ altogether.
Humans vs. Zombies at Agnes Scott
Zombies begin to creep into Agnes Scott the week after fall break every year -- they like Scotties to be well-rested (reports tell us that Scotties taste better this way). Agnes Scott's RPG club was the first Scotties to defend themselves from the oncoming zombie invasions in 2015. Our brave leader, Dr. CC, further organized our zombie slaying efforts in 2017 and led us through wave after wave of zombie invasions.
